Note: Students under the age of 18 cannot take adult classes unless it is specified as accepting children or teens in the class description. In addition, ages for those 18 and younger must be provided on our class registration form.

Flamingos Art Club - Art Happens! Sam & Kate Mylin

“Art Keeps Happening!” Children can experience the creative process through the basics of art and more! A development experience for young artists, clubbers create artwork through the basics of art to “master” their pencils, other media, and much more!

Comics, Manga & Webtoons – Elizabeth Stepenaski

Do you like coming up with OC’s? (original characters) Got a story you want to share? Learn the tricks to making and developing your own comic, manga or webtoon! All skill levels are welcome to learn how to create long and short-form comics in a laid-back, positive environment.

Materials needed: Sketchbook, pencils, bristol board, micron india ink, white eraser. Favorite coloring medium: color pencil, marker, watercolors & brushes, pen nib & ink (optional). Digital welcomed but not required.

Art Camp 2019 “Let’s Make Sense of Art!” - Sam & Kate Mylin

Art Camp 2019 introduces the “Basics of Art” and “Creative Process” in a simple fun way that brings out the Art in the campers! “Art Happens” when the artist understands and sees the things around him and captures the ideas to make them visible. Using their skills, campers will exercise pencil control, command of the media, and to dominate their canvas to produce a solid portfolio and present an art show! Does this “make sense”? We are on our way to build the artist in 2019, so art can grow, creativity expand, and relationships can be built to go into the next decade. Art Camp 2019….Make Sense.

Painting Camp for Creative Kids – Carol S. Herr

Mon. – Fri. 9am-1pm,
July 8 – 12,
$135 & $15 materials fee (paid to instructor),
Ages 10 – 17

“Color” is the theme of this year’s Painting Camp. Students will explore color in a variety of painting mediums with projects exploring varied subjects including landscape, still-life, portraiture, abstract design and more! They will get to use and experiment with adult materials such as canvas, acrylic paints, watercolor, and much more. Students will learn to express themselves through color and art and the emotions that color conveys in various combinations.

A Brush with Nature- Drawing, Painting & Clay Camp – Carol H. Dale

Mon. – Thurs. 9am-3pm,
July 22-25,
$160 & $15 materials fee (paid to instructor),
Ages 10 -16

Students will sketch outdoors and draw inspiration from nature. They will return to the studio to create nature themed art in clay, drawing materials and paint. They will experiment with hand-building clay techniques and a variety of drawing and painting materials to produce artwork inspired by the natural world.
